Care information

Preserving Your Collection

To ensure your TCGs, toys, figurines, and games stay in mint condition, we recommend the following:

  • Environment: Store all collectables in a cool, dry place. Humidity can warp cards, while heat can damage figure packaging and game cases.
  • Sunlight: Keep items away from direct sunlight to prevent fading on card art, sticker finishes, and display boxes.
  • Handling: We recommend using protective sleeves for all trading cards and stickers immediately to prevent surface scratches and edge wear.
  • Cleaning: For figurines and game cases, use a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. Avoid harsh chemicals.

Description

Product Overview

The Citadel Skulls box is a comprehensive "bits" set designed for detail-oriented hobbyists. It contains a massive collection of plastic skulls in various sizes and styles, specifically created to add environmental detail, character-driven narrative elements, and grim realism to your miniatures and basing projects.

Key Specifications

  • Contents: 340 individual plastic skulls

  • Variety: Human, Ork, Tau, Kroot, Genestealer, and others

  • Purpose: Basing detail, terrain decoration, and miniature conversion

Features and Benefits

  • Unmatched Variety: With over 300 skulls, the set covers a wide spectrum of the Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar settings. It includes everything from standard human skulls to grotesque, multi-jawed alien craniums.

  • Basing Enhancements: Adding a few skulls to a model’s base is the fastest way to convey the lethality of a battlefield. They are perfect for showing the aftermath of a combat-heavy engagement.

  • Terrain Customization: Use these to decorate scenery pieces—stack them on ruins, impale them on spikes for Chaos-themed terrain, or scatter them around objective markers to make your tabletop feel truly war-torn.

  • Conversion Potential: Advanced hobbyists use these for "kitbashing." They can be added to belts, banners, weapon trophies, or even to the hands of characters to demonstrate their prowess in battle.

Hobby Tips

  • Removal: Since these are small parts on a sprue, use your side cutters to remove them carefully. Because of their size, I recommend using your hobby knife to clean up any remaining connection points so they sit flush on your bases.

  • Painting Skulls:

    • Base Coat: Start with a light color like Wraithbone or Corax White.

    • Shading: A wash of Agrax Earthshade is ideal for skulls; it flows into the eye sockets and nasal cavities, instantly defining the bone structure.

    • Highlighting: Once dry, a light drybrush of white or an off-white color will make the bone look aged and weathered.

  • Strategic Placement: Don't overcrowd a single base. A few skulls placed near the feet of a model, perhaps partially buried in texture paint like Armageddon Dust, look much more realistic than a mountain of them.

  • Glue: Because these are plastic, use a tiny amount of plastic glue to attach them to your bases. If you are attaching them to an already painted model or metal surface, a small drop of super glue is more appropriate.
